What is the DNA Profile?

It's a personal report on your baby's genetics, generated automatically with the Starter pack. Inside: 14 short stories about traits (eyes, hair, face shape), a heritage map showing who passed what, a phenotype rarity score against population data, a forecast for a second child, and badges for unusual combinations. Opens right in the app.

How is the phenotype rarity score calculated?

We match your baby's trait set (eye colour, hair colour, freckles, dimples, hairline and earlobes) against open population data — frequencies of these features across regions of the world. Skin tone and hair texture are never part of the score. The rarer the combination, the higher the score — from 1 in 100 (common) to 1 in 5,000 (very rare). It's not a scientific DNA prediction, but a plausible estimate based on public statistics — for fun and surprise.

Is it safe? Where do my photos go?

We take your data seriously. Uploaded photos are stored on encrypted servers for 30 days — only for processing and result access — and then automatically deleted with no way to recover them. We don't share your photos with anyone and don't use them to train models.

How many photos will I get?

Accepted Answer

Starter — one style from the set of the season at three ages: newborn, 1 year and 3 years, plus a 5-second 1080p video. Family — two styles of your choice (or a Surprise from a set) at those three ages (6 portraits), a 5-second video and a family photo with you. Album — three styles of your choice (or a Surprise) at four ages, up to the first day of school (12 portraits), a 20-second film, a family photo and a card. Every portrait is the same predicted baby.

What is a style?

A style is the look your baby’s portrait is created in: studio light, an autumn park, a 90s film snapshot, a snowy morning. One style gives one portrait at every age of your pack.

What is a set?

Accepted Answer

A set is a ready-made pick of styles and a video that share one mood, like “Golden Autumn” or “Summer by the Sea”. You don’t choose the styles one by one: the set picks them, and you see which ones with your result. To choose them yourself, use “I’ll build it” in the Family and Album packs. The set of the season changes with the calendar, and you can pick any other set at any time.

Does it work with a single photo?

Not yet — for a good result we need clear portraits of both parents. We're working on a single-photo mode, but it requires significantly more compute.

Which languages does BabyLumi support?

The full service is available in 8 languages: English, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Portuguese, and Japanese. The website and app automatically detect your browser language — a switcher is always available in the header. The Telegram bot also detects language automatically; change it anytime with /language.

Can I upload a photo of a celebrity?

No — it violates the right of publicity for real people. BabyLumi automatically blocks attempts to use photos of public figures. Historical examples in the gallery use public-domain images strictly for demonstration.

What photo formats are accepted?

Accepted Answer

JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Maximum size is 10 MB per file. We automatically crop and optimise the image before generation — no manual editing needed.

What is video generation?

Accepted Answer

Every pack ships a video: once your portraits are ready, the 3-year-old of your first style is brought to life as a 1080p clip — 5 seconds with Starter and Family; Album gets a 20-second film of four scenes. In the app you can animate any other portrait with a video credit.

Is my data safe and private?

Absolutely. We process photos securely, never use them to train models, and store generated results for 30 days before automatic deletion.

Do I need to create an account?

Not required. Without an account: upload photos on the site → choose a pack → pay via Whop → receive your results by email. Photos are stored for 30 days. With an account: full generation history in your dashboard, easy order management, and early access to new styles.

How long are generated images available?

Generated images are stored for 30 days and accessible via the link in your email. We recommend downloading them — once deleted, they cannot be restored.

How do I get the best result?

Use clear, well-lit face photos. A front-facing portrait without glasses, masks, or shadows works best. The higher the quality of the source photos, the more accurately BabyLumi will reproduce facial features.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and other major international cards, as well as popular digital wallets. All transactions are secured with SSL encryption.

Question 17

I paid but didn’t get my result — what now?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is lost: your payment is saved to your account as a pack. Sign in with the same email you used at checkout — the pack you bought will be waiting there, and you can start the generation again without paying twice. If something went wrong with the photos, just upload them again and spend the pack. Can’t find your pack or need a hand? Reach us through the support form and we’ll help within 24 hours.

Can I get a refund?

If a generation fails on our side, we re-run it for free or give your money back. If something is wrong with your order, email support@babylumi.app and we’ll sort it out. The full terms are in the Terms of service linked at the bottom of the page.

Question 19

Can I give BabyLumi to someone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap “Gifts” in the menu, pick a pack (Starter, Family or Album), pay once and send the recipient a link by Telegram, or let us email it on a day you choose with a few words from you. They accept it, upload their own photos and get the pack.

Question 20

Can I ask friends who the baby looks like?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Turn on the poll on your result page and send friends the link: they pick Mom or Dad (you can type names instead) and see the tally and our guess right after. The poll page shows no parent faces.

Question 21

What is the “Compare with yourself as a child” card?

Accepted Answer

You upload your own childhood photo (only your own), and we make a “Who looks like whom?” card with you and the baby at the same age side by side. The photo is kept for 30 days with the other photos and is never used to train models or to create the portraits.
